Location: the hotel was so close to Russell ferry, and a selection of bars. I tried some drinks at bar Legends Restaurant, located 10 minutes walk away. The room was recently refurbished and the facilities included a well appointed kitchenette and a lounge area.

Free Wi-Fi was fast and the service was very good. We were in a hurry and didn't try the pool, nonetheless it was very clean.

This hotel is great value for money, with reasonable prices and attention to detail. Its location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and main attractions in about ten minutes. The staff are friendly and the basic amenities are in good condition. The rooms are kept clean, even with the fan on which can be a bit noisy. it's a comfortable place to stay after a busy day sightseeing the area.
All was fine, nothing that could be improved.

The room was very spacious and clean.
The room was very old. For the money there were things missing like, sky television, an iron in your room. The pool was not really in a fit state to use and even though a view was mentioned our family room looked out towards the car park. We only stayed two nights of our three nights booked as I could not watch the rugby as there was no sky tv. We ended up staying at another motel that was a similar price was brand new with everything we needed with a view of the bay. I will not be recommending this motel to anybody.

The rooms were very clean and neat, and well supplied with towls, crockery etc.
It was a very basic and dated room.

The staff at this place were friendly and accommodating, giving us everything we asked for. The location was great, not too far from the beach. We appreciated having a kitchen and a decent-sized table for cooking. The swimming pool, although small, was clean and usable. The bedding and towels were fresh and clean. The motel was conveniently located, just a 2-minute walk to the main beach and 5 minutes to the nearby dairy. a warm welcome and a pleasant stay.
Felt so much at home, no complaints.

Accommodation was comfortable, clean and functional. The appartment was well equipped and better than many I have stayed in.
Hotel was not on the seafront (about 100 yards away) and rooms did not have a sea view.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is conveniently close to the beach and shops, making it easy to explore the area without having to travel far. Additionally, being close to Paihia town centre is a major advantage as it allows guests to easily access restaurants and enjoy the local cuisine.
My experience at this hotel was very positive and I couldn't find any major areas requiring improvement.

Good location right near to the beach, decent size and well equiped room. Pretty decent budget accomodation.
The cleanliness was only let down by a couple of pubic hairs on the towels. The room is quite bright with outside lights staying on all night. We understand the need for security but the glass doors have no blinds or curtains. The bed was uncomfortable.

Free, genuinely high-speed wi-fi (tested as 12Mbps download), despite its being advertised as attracting an extra charge. - Apparently, this charge applies only to customers staying for just one night. As I was staying for ten, I got it free but two nights would have been sufficient. Very friendly and helpful staff and, being a husband and wife joint venture, you always got to talk with the top person! The staff advised upon and arranged all my excursions and cruises whilst I was in Paihia.
The fast, free wi-fi came in bundles of 50Mb, after which you had to "begin again" with a new access code. So was fine for surfing the net and email, but not so good for applications such as Skype or speedtest.net which gobble up the megabytes.

I recently stayed at a lovely motel in a beautiful coastal town for 6 nights. The one bedroom unit was spacious and well-equipped, perfect for our family of four. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool, and the wifi worked flawlessly throughout our stay. Plus, the motel's location couldn't have been better- just a short walk to the beach and all the attractions Paihia has to offer. I had a fantastic time and would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The helpfulness and friendliness of hosts
NOticed that a few other motels in the area had a spa pool. While this is not essential it would have been nice to have had the option of as the summer holiday we booked was really wet and cold weatherwise.
